fish farms

There was an article in Nature about
a month or so back that claimed that
the problem with salmon farming lies
in salmon being carnivores.

Most farming/ranching involves using
something that people don't eat, and
turning it into something they do:
grass can be turned into cheese, and
oil can be turned into beef and beer,
or at least strawberries, but farmed
salmon require harvesting a bunch of
other fish.

Just as well avians don't lactate,
or one could suggest triple treif.
