[FoRK] spam backpressure

A quick question:

* is aggressive crawling of links in emails flagged as spam legitimate at
  personal level?

* are public incitements to do likewise illegal, technically?

* is there potential for friendly fire? if yes, what's the mechanism?

Thanks,

P.S. I got some unexpected flak on this on a local Linux user list, including
some pretty irrational reactions, so I'm trying for a different sample.
