Google "embedded HTTP" returns:

RomPager Basic Embedded Web Server Toolkit

RomPager Basic Embedded Web Server is an HTTP 1.0/1.1 compliant Web server
with CGI-style user exit support and optional file system support. It uses
from 7Kb to 12Kb of ROM code and provides a small, powerful server for
low-end devices.

InterNiche's embedded HTTP Server software allows devices to be configured
and monitored by end users with any World Wide Web browser, eliminating the
need for the manufacturer to provide a variety of GUIs for Microsoft
Windows, UNIX, Macintosh, etc. All the GUI graphics, controls, and text are
self-contained in the device's firmware.

# Code Space (Intel x86) (HTTP, SSI, CGI, VFS) 13 KB
# Static Data Space: 3 KB
# Per connection RAM requirements: <1 KB plus TCP buffer (1-4 KB)
# Transport interface is "#ifdef"ed for SD Sockets interface, which can be
easily ported to other TCP APIs
# Number of Connections: Limited only by free memory
# Foreign Language Support
# SSL2.0, SSL3.0, TLS1.0

I recall that MSFT has a WinCE HTTP server as well.
