And the Hottest Scientists Are ...

Thomson ISI does some dandy datamining, and it has just released its 
list of the hottest scientists over the last two years.

  What does hottest mean in this context? Well, research that is more 
widely cited than other papers of comparable disciplines and ages is 
deemed by Thomson ISI to be hot; researchers that have six of more of 
such papers during the two-year period in question (i.e., 2003-2004) 
make the company's hot list. Got it?

  So, here you are. And who, you may be wondering, is Malik Peiris? He 
is at University of Hong Kong and co-authored a spate of widely-cited 
SARS articles.
