The thing that upsets those folks the most is the (misunderstood) concept of
relativism.  They don't like things (like, oh, ethical issues, or the meaning
of life) to have multiple possible answers.

So clearly, the most flagrantly relativistic book ever, and thus the most
harmful, was... the vulgar editions of the bible (King James, etc.).  Now that
any lay person can read the scriptures, they feel competent to come up with
their own interpretation!
