[FoRK] Why didn't they just walk out?

What's even worse about this is that they made an assumption that everyone was 
equally tainted, and made no attempt to sift people, to establish a checkpoint, 
etc etc.  Just a "stay on your side and die".

How marvelously humanitarian.
