Actually, no. The alleged biographies were
written after the religion had been spread, its
leadership established, practice laid down, and
doctrinal letters circulated. Most of the New
Testament was written prior to the gospels.
Once you have enough people subscribing to
a god or hero, he has to have a lifestory.
When they were needed, they were written.
But the religion came first.
