It seems more like somebody has realized that "blue-staters"
are just another marketing group who's biases 
can be exploited for fame and fortune.

Can I just say that this:

Bowling for Columbine did it to the gun culture.
Super Size Me did it to fast food.
...is the funniest un-endorsement of a movie I've ever seen.  Bowling 
for Columbine was idiotically biased and full of lies.  Super Size Me 
was just dumb.
Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud.
After a while, you realize the pig is enjoying it.
