Clearly what's required is a walking city
(e.g. http://www.archigram.net/projects_pages/walking_city.html )

zip up the bubble, pick ourselves up and saunter on to the next
destination. All that braininess, should be a breeze to engineer.

Though the mental image of the average geek "lounging in diaphanous
robes by the pool" has really taken a lot of appeal out of this
fantasy for me, personally.
