It's not really paranoia, since the project formerly called
Echelon is reading this very message, and data-mining algorithms
trace who's talking to whom and what, building a detailed
profile for any warm body on two legs.
I presume if you're interesting enough all your relevant
traffic goes into database slots somewhere. Voice compresses
down to 1-2 kByte/s with the right codecs, at times of 750 GByte
drives and 10 kNode clusters and cluster file systems you'll
never have to throw anything away. Today's speech recognition
might not be able to transcribe all conversations quantitatively,
but future's certainly will.
