[FoRK] politicians lie in cast iron sinks

Ah, the wonders of mysterious and exotic foreign cultures: there was a 
minor scandal (of great importance to the people directly concerned, of 
course, but not a matter of life and death for dozens of others) 
recently over whether one of the seven co-executives lied, and it seems 
that everyone is interested in whether the facts of the matter agree 
with his statements, and no one is interested in whether he had the 
best of intentions when he misspoke.  Such naive belief in lying and 
truth-telling being so logically dependent upon falsehood and truth!  
No doubt the cowbells have addled their brains...
