BECAUSE Newton didn't have the benefit of said epistemological
method, he managed to produce an awful lot of complete crap (i.e.,
alchemy and other complete hogwash.) Perhaps that makes the bits he
got right all that much more impressive; but it certainly doesn't
suggest that his process of discovery was something to be emulated.
