  I don't really understand what you're trying to say here
  -- I think that specific examples may help.

  Part of the nature of conversation, is to gain and share clarity.
  To me, redefining is a regular part of the work of conversing,
  similar to how it is a regular part of the work of programming.
  The same is true to me of repurposing;  Often times in
  problem-solving, "what is the question?" needs to be changed
  just as much the intermediary steps and the answer.

  I believe I should be able to talk about love with sincerity,
  without knowing often-times how to live up to my ideal.
  Does this seem fair to you?
