Do you REALLY think any of the rabble protesting as any sort of  
authority WHATSOEVER?

This isn't an authority problem.  I'm just as anti-authoritarian as  
anybody on this list, but authority isn't the culprit here.  Indeed,  
the authority in question seems to be attempting, at least in a  
cursory way, to be a moderating influence...
