Well, isn't it?  I mean, isn't that particular "faith" truly a  
uniquely horrific thing?

But it's got no monopoly on horror.  All of these cults are  
horrific.  Christianity gets no pass from me.

How many Catholic priests diddling little boys does it take?

How many thundering protestant preachers terrorizing the children of  
their "flock" weekly does it take?

How many Spanish Inquisitions?  Salem Witch Trials?  Crusades?  How  
many passionate attempts to suppress science education?  How many  
attempts to spark Armageddon?

I mean, come on, the very notion of religion inherently invokes  
horror, doesn't it?  What can be more horrific than the notion of all- 
powerful monster tyrants lurking in the sky?
