[FoRK] Please Help

Sorry, Lion, I can't help you about feeling vulnerable and fearful.

I think your "vision that science and spirituality are not by nature
opposed to each other" is good. I do think your way of trying to meld
the two is a call for hip-waders and I'm too far from college life to deal.

I don't think you can meld science and spirituality AND call it
"something". (Ok, pretend and call it whatever it is that Tom Cruise is
messing with.) A scientist /can/ have Spirituality. So too, can a
Catholic Priest have Science.

It's not an A or B thing. Both can chase boys. Or girls. Or goats.

It seems to my little monkey brain that god or something is all around
us. Not that I really believe in god but stuff like watching puppies
birthing, emu hatching, trees leafing in spring, does make me wonder.
Maybe it's just that Life is so interesting.

My belief? If there is a god, he doesn't have time to fuck with us....
at best we are a spot of mold on a petri dish in his laboratory.

So.

There is so much bad in the best of us,
And so much good in the worst of us,
That is ill behoves any of us,
To talk about the rest of us.

Works well for me...

Take everything with a big pinch of salt. Life is wonderful. Enjoy
Life. And then, you die. And that's all, folks.
