I love poetry, paradox and the power of an awesome sunset. I
appreciate yugen, wabi sabi and the capacity of a koan to spark new
realization. I stand alone in the desert, or beside the ocean, or
high on a mountain under a starry sky, and I experience wonder and
humility. I uncover a new layer of order and meaning in the world and
I tremble with excitement. In my earlier years I sought mysterious
answers to mysterious question. I have traveled through the void and
come out the other side with no visible signs of support, with
everything as it always was, but for a more integrated model of
reality in the observer. I now see mountains as mountains, waters as
waters, and for this I am grateful.

Of magical thinking and science, only one of these delivers
objectively improving results as a direct result of testing it.
