Yes, I think so: Insincerity.
If a person is insincere, either in terms of what they preach,
or insincere in their struggle to live what they preach --
then you have hypocrisy.
But if you are sincere, I don't think it's hypocrisy to speak about
virtues, vision, the type of person you strive to be, and even to
advocate in praise of virtue, even though you yourself will
probably never quite touch the ideal.
If I may make a bit of a tangent here;
I find a lot of value in reading Chapter X ("Modern Civilization
and Our Universe,") of the manual to Ultima IV. The Afterward is
interesting too; So are the first couple paragraphs of the booklet
as well.
Actually, the whole game is just awesome.
