I used an HMD hooked up to a video iPod to watch a movie at the
dentist the other day and had a great experience. The goggles are
about as isolating as clunky sunglasses. They cover up a little
rectangle of real estate at the center of your field of vision but
otherwise let you see the space around you normally. Listening via
earbuds is the bigger problem.
