[FoRK] the lines drawn by the hand that moves on

This is the very personal nature of belief systems, that at their core
they require all who profess belief to take as is some set of
statements that makes them as such. Not taking these statements into
being makes you a casual observer , a caring supporter, maybe even
well meaning facilitator...but it does not get you into the thing
itself.

For many christians it goes something like this(pick any or all
depending on denomination)

* - Jesus died for your sins

*- He then rose from the dead and ascended into heaven

*- He will come again

*- The bible is the word of god and are the rules by which you are to live.

Now I can hear the folks saying "But that is not all of what we are
about, we also are about love and good works and care for the weak and
etc etc" and yes...but many other religions also claim those things.
The things that make you you are those listed above(though that is not
a full list).

Distillation of the core of ones belief system often makes it easier
for everyone to see what it is and is not all about, thus the
misrepresentations on any side will tend to be attributed to
correctable fallacy or to be tagged as trolling.

Illusions are like religion, a bit at least. Maybe this video can show
how....give it a try and lets talk about it.....
