In the OLD days, half of Mountain View was full of dangerous poor
folks, and people in e.g. Los Altos feared Mountain View. But now it's
all been torn down and rebuilt and gentrified and Mountain View is
all nice and expensive and safe and no one remembers the cheap
dirty dim-sum places on Castro where you could stuff yourself on
pot-stickers and pork buns for under $3.
