I didn't present it as anything else.  If somebody really wanted to  
dig into this, I'm sure there's a book contract or three to be had on  
both sides of the so-called "argument."

Some things (such as "the history of fascism demonstrates that it is  
more closely related to modern leftism or liberalism than it is to  
what we consider right-wing ideology") are prima facie to absurd to  
even address seriously.

BTW, James, lest we forget:  criticizing the right-wing doesn't make  
you left-wing.  The only person I see talking about things in us-vs- 
them terms --- is in fact you.  I'm about as left-wing as your right  
testicle. ;-)
