Thread-safe means saving state. If saving state takes as much resources
as instantiating a whole CPU (it take some 10 kTransistors for a pretty
complex stack machine, cum router), why not forking off a clone onto adjacent
site in a maspar CPU+memory array? Memory access and sending an OOP
message have exactly the same costs there.
You know, we had (or could have had) probably the same conversation
1995, or so. That's what makes CompSci more a bit like archaeology.
