[FoRK] We Scream, We Swoon, We Generalize Horribly

Out of all the generalizations about the difference between women and
men, the one that I really believe in is that women pay attention to
their internal state more than men do.  Physical and mental well being
is a higher priority.

So I do wonder whether women's careers suffer from women's emphasis on
internal state.
