[FoRK] Why Texas is perfect (for a narrow definition of perfect)

Riffing off the data on the site Geege mentioned, it's clear that I've
picked the perfect state to live in given my preferences. Here's an
ordered model of my preferences:

Not cold > Few Hicks > Low taxes > ...

Texas comes in 43rd in the nation in terms of overall tax rate. Here
are my objections, per the above, to #s 50-44.

   50 - Alaska - Too cold
   49 - New Hampshire - Too cold
   48 - Tennessee - Too many hicks
   47 - Delaware - Too cold
   46 - Alabama - Too many hicks
   45 - Oklahoma - You're kidding, right? Cf. hicks
   44 - S. Dakota - Too cold

Now waitasec, you say, isn't Texas overrun with hicks? Well, yes it
is... but in Austin that presence is diluted to tolerable.

;-)
