[FoRK] Seemingly, hedge fund managers do enjoy 15% tax rate

Lately, I've come across several articles that explain that much of what
hedge fund managers earn is taxed at a long-term gains rate of 15%. Here
is one from 2007:

Now, yeah, I'm happy to see those who do this well make billions, and no,
I wouldn't want to destroy the incentive for starting and running hedge
funds, and no, I don't necessarily want anyone to be taxed more. Still,
it was only three weeks ago that I wrote a check to the IRS, and my
effective tax rate was quite a bit more than 15%. And by FoRK standards,
I'm poor. ;-)
