Interesting turnaround strategy for a niche business software company:
Fire your sales force, offer to install your product on a trial basis,
let the "presales" techs/engineers focus on making customers happy, send
invoices to happy customers.


Trial-then-buy should work great for a techie company with few or no
good sales people.  It'd work badly for OSS or alternative-energy
products, where install costs dominate.  Dang.
