The Harvard Square Herrell's Ice Cream shop was in a former bank
branch, with extra seating in the vault (which, like the rest of the
shop, was painted over in an undersea aquatic theme).

It's not there now; the shop manager fell out with Steve Herrell a
while ago, and promised to reopen as a restaurant.  After two years,
they seem to be done remodeling, judging by what you can see through
the windows, but the place still has yet to open.  Very strange.
