Ah yes, the demise of 'turning the dial' for stations, tv or radio.

Might be fair to say incandescent bulbs might be largely obsolete in just 
about all applications they might encounter.

1. Potentiometers for volume (and that crackling sound)
2. Variable capacitors for tuning
3. Telescoping antennas (for getting snapped of by trees or car washes)
4. String driven tuning indicator (string shared with the variable
capacitor)
5. Mechanical tuning push buttons

Cars with incandescent indicator bulbs (turn signals, brake lights, etc)

Mechanical turn signal relays?
