Why don't we commonly use this nomenclature for (even informally)
describing the speed of particles?
I am so tired of hearing "these particles are accelerated to nearly the
speed of light."
I want to know: how many nines?
(Even better would be knowing: what is the Lorentz factor? But that may
be too much to ask for in everyday news reports.)
