Slashdot is certainly in that space, plus it has a rewards system
of sorts (if you count not being filtered-out by others' filters as
a reward - not much feedback).

Ummm... what space is that? According to both the Bronson piece in the
NYT mag and their own web site, epinions is going to be doing collaborative
reviews of consumer products (stereo components and cars are among the
categories). I haven't seen much of that in Slashdot lately.

This has a great deal more in common with, say, Phil Greenspun's photo.net
(which has photography product reviews, among much other photo-related
content), or even, say, zagat.com, than Slashdot --- and even more in
common with deja.com's Deja Ratings (which is the only example I know of
off the top of my head of an attempt at a collaborative product review
site with coverage as broad as what epinions seems to be going for).
