Looks like a 667 MHz Merced is well under half the speed of a 667 MHz
Alpha. Heck it's half of an Athlon. This type of ratio is confirmed
by some other indicators: benchmarks that have popped up around the
'net only to be quashed by Intel, and some tests that I couldn't
possibly mention *cough*.
