Roy rediscovered a site I saw in beta a long time ago but forgot.
FoRK is now on findmail.com as well:
http://www.findmail.com/listsaver/fork/
This includes the long-awaited FoRK Search Engine (for those of you not
already using AltaVista +FoRK)

They claim they'll hash in old Hypermail archives if you upload them. And
they take serious spam precautions.

Does anyone have a better one-line desription of FoRK?
(other than, of course, "Running Commentary On The Void Which Is Rohit's
Social Life!")

I just added my mailing list FoRK to your archives. I think this is a nifty
service, and have ever since I found
its beta once, but then forgot about it.

FoRK is the "Friends of Rohit Khare" mailing list. It best fits
"News" until such time as you may create a category for Social
or Community lists. I say this becasue the backbone of the list
is News of internet and web technology developments and news
about various people in the group. Politics, books, theology,`
movies, and music also show up with some regularity.

I have a 5500 message archive for the last two years at
http://xent.ics.uci.edu/FoRK-archive I could upload.

For more information about the list, please see Adam Rifkin's
exhaustive FoRK FaQ at http://www.cs.caltech.edu/~adam/LOCAL/faq-fork.html

I just discovered that this mailing list is also being archived
at <http://www.findmail.com/listsaver/http-wg/>, which may be more
convenient for some readers. It has a search interface as well.
